"Memory Patch for 2.5" is a plug-in which patches out the code which caused the occasional "not enough memory" messages in 2.5 when trying to open or save files on some machines with more than 24 megabytes allocated to Photoshop. Patching out this code leaves the program fully functional but running slightly sub-optimally. In particular, the speed with which the system can pull down menus on large memory configurations may suffer slightly. A future update will include a fully optimized resolution for this issue.
To use this patch, quit Adobe Photoshop and copy it to your current Adobe Photoshop Plug-ins folder. It will activate when you re-launch the program. To deactivate the patch, remove it from the Plug-ins folder and re-launch the program.
